Blue Forests assessed biophysical and socio-economic opportunities and constraints to establishing a public-private partnership (PPP) in four landscapes such as South East Sulawesi; Bintuni Bay, West Papua; Kubu Raya mangroves, West Kalimantan; and the Mahakam Delta, East Kalimantan. Blue Forests manage an integrated team with both ecological and socio-economic expertise to assess these four mangrove areas concerning threats and opportunities and identify those areas with the highest potential for permanent conservation and restoration. The assessments contribute to an understanding of the state of the four mangrove systems from ecological and social perspectives. Blue Forests provide problem and objective tree analysis and options analysis to develop project initiatives for each landscape.
